Whispers of love

This morning, I took a walk at the park near my daughters’ school. Normally, I choose the peaceful path... quiet, beautiful, and calm. But today, I decided to take a different route. This path went uphill, and I quickly felt it in my body. My legs started to ache, and I almost cramped up. Yet, after a little while, the pain passed.

Later, I found myself walking along the highway, where it was much noisier than usual. Cars roared by, horns blared, and the peace I loved seemed drowned out. But here’s the thing, in the midst of the noise, I could still hear His soft whisper of love.

And that’s life, isn’t it? Some days we walk through valleys that are quiet and restful. Other days, we climb uphill, and it hurts. At times, we walk through noisy seasons, where distractions and chaos surround us. But the noise and the pain are only temporary. What remains constant is the whisper of His love.

Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). Even when life feels overwhelming, His voice cuts through the noise with peace. And Isaiah 30:21 reminds us, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

No matter the path... whether uphill, noisy, or peaceful... God’s love never fades, and His whispers never stop.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for speaking even in the middle of my noisy, painful, or difficult days. Teach me to recognize Your whisper above all else. When I’m weary, strengthen me. When I’m overwhelmed, quiet me with Your love. And when the world is loud, help me tune my heart to hear only Your voice. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
